Robert Shaw is the author of Hand Made, Hand Played and American Quilts (9781402747731), as well as many other critically acclaimed books on American crafts and folk art. Shaw lectures and writes on many aspects of American folk arts and crafts. He has curated exhibitions at major museums and expositions in the United States, Europe and Japan, including the National Gallery of Art and serves as a consultant to museums, collectors and auction houses.
